Im assuming your getting this for video editing.

If you have the oppertunity to buy a new computer, take it. Upgrading your computer can be cheap, but it can be extremely painfull as well, this is because, all the parts you put in your computer have to be compatible with the older parts you are still keeping. Buying a new computer has professoinal manufacturers test all the parts to see if they work properley together, meaning that the result is a whole lot less annoying.

Your specs will easily handle video editing, and you will see a huge improvement, apposed to your other computers performance. RAM is the most important component for Video Editing, 2GB of RAM will easily handle video editing, but as soon as you decide to edit High Definition you will have to upgrade to four GB. The remaining specs sound fine. Make sure you ask the sales provider lots of questions so you are sure your getting what you want, also ensure that this brand you know about isn't a dodgey one. Good luck!

I would usually go for a computer from a well-known company because its usually more reliable but thats just me.

I would still go for a computer from a well-known company. If a company is not well-known it usually means they make bad computers or they're not really efficient.
